    Description

    This is an unusual piece of andara impactite/impact glass.  This unique and complex glass is part of an exciting new find from West Virginia, and was collected by hand on private property.  Meteorite, other metals, and breccia have also been found with the glass.  This piece measures 2.60 x 2.20 x 1.25 inches and weighs 80 grams.  You can see how the molten glass folded and twisted back onto itself multiple times, giving us a hint of the forces necessary for this to occur.  I recommend viewing the surface features and interior of this translucent piece with a 30X jewelers loupe for maximum appreciation of the delicate and unusual details.  Domestic shipping with delivery confirmation on this item is .50.  I am always happy to combine multiple items to save on shipping costs.  Thanks for shopping :)
