    Description

    For auction is this Early American Pressed Flint Glass Goblet or Spooner with a Frosted Leaf Motif.  It measures 5 1/4" tall and 3 3/8" in diameter at the base.  It was made by Boston and Sandwich Company and is attributed to Portland Glass Company circa 1850 (Documents will be included). There is no visible damage.  There are two original air bubbles in the glass in the base, plus other bubbles.
    This glass was part of a museum deaccessions sold by New York Christie's Auction House several years ago from a display of Early American pressed Glass at Winterthur, the DuPont estate which houses some of the finest American antiques in the world.  There is a white Christie's label that reads
