This flint glass cup plate is one of the earliest examples of the pressed Heart and Sheaf glass patterns manufactured at Sandwich. SIZE: The cup plate is 3/8" H. x 3 3/8" Dia.. CONDITION: The condition is very good with a shallow rim chip and some minor rim roughness the only excuse. The flint glass cup plate does exhibit the manufacturing flaws prevalent in early flint glass. This includes; straw marks, sand and bubbles in the glass, and minor mold imperfections.
