Authentic and original, hand-cut original celluloid acetate stencil by w.h. wilson, circa early 1900s, a relatively unknown Pennsylvania tattooist.
The stencil came from a large cache of paper tattoo items from a relatively unknown tattooist, WH Wilson, of Pennsylvania. The art is representative of Wilson's typical folky loose style, most likely 1905-1917 based on dates in the cache. The sketchbook is NOT included in this auction. very rarely do 100 year old tattoo flash items come up for auction.
