BLUE/GREEN ANDARA IMPACTITE/IMPACT GLASS~HEART SHAPE W/INCLUSIONS~227GR NEW FIND

Description

This is a beautiful piece of deep blue/green/teal andara impactite/impact glass.  This unique and complex glass is part of an exciting new find from West Virginia, and was collected by hand on private property.  Meteorite, other metals, and breccia have also been found with the glass.  This piece measures 3.0 x 2.20 x 2.0 inches and weighs 227 grams (just over 8 ounces/half pound).  I recommend viewing with a 30X jewelers loupe for examination of the exterior 'skin' (surface features), and the interior, which contains bubbles, elongated bubbles, and inclusions of cristobalite (the small white spots).
