    Description

Offered for sale is a wonderful antique EAPG flint glass sugar bowl manufactured by McKee Glass during the mid 1800s.  The sugar bowl is in the Four Petal pattern and it displays a concave pattern with circles and ellipses in a four petal design.  The sugar bowl has a spherical shape and the foot appears to be applied with a smooth polished pontil mark on the bottom. Overall the sugar bowl stands 7 1/4" tall to the top of the finial on the lid and it measures about 5" in diameter.
The overall condition of the sugar bowl is excellent.  There are no chips or cracks.  The clarity of the glass is excellent with no cloudiness and the inside is clean.  You can expect to fine the standard imperfections associated with older glass to include airbubbles, strawmarks, inclusions, etc.  This is a beautiful example of an early piece of glass!
