NWA 15057 is one of only 23 known CVox3 meteorites ever found. CVox3 chondrites are primitive, carbonaceous stones that were formed in a high oxygen environment. This particular stone is also high in sulfides. This material has mirror polish to optimize the brilliant chondrules. CV chondrites are among the most primitive rocks in the solar system (with inclusions believed to be pre-solar (formed before the sun!)).
