    Purchased: 2021 Nov
    Classification: Rumuruti chondrite (R3-4)
    History
: Purchased by John Higgins in November 2021 from a dealer in Ouarzazate, Morocco.
    Petrography
    : (A. Irving,
    UWS
    and P. Carpenter,
    WUSL
) Breccia composed of discrete unequilibrated chondrules (apparent diameter 500 ± 250 µm, N = 25) plus Type 3 and Type 4 chondrite lithic clasts, mineral grains and a large (2 cm) melt rock clast, all set in a fine grained matrix (20 vol.% , pale orange in thin section). Accessory phases in all components are pyrrhotite, pentlandite and sodic plagioclase. The fine grained melt rock clast consists of strongly-zoned euhedral olivine grains (mean grainsize ~50 µm) accompanied by chromite, pyrrhotite, pentlandite and interstitial glass.

    Classification
: R3-4 chondrite breccia with melt-rock clasts. The unusual melt-rock clasts in this specimen resemble those described in  DaG 013, PCA 91241 and LAP 031275 by Lunning et al. (2018).
