    Description

    Hello up for sale is Erg Chech 003 classified as a rare CR2 Carbonaceous. This gorgeous slice weighs 10.125 grams, it has lots of metal, bright orange chondrules and some armored chondrules with a fine polish to one side.  This sample is composed of chondrules (Primarily porphyritic Type I, Av. 1.3 mm, up to 2.5 mm, ~70 vol. %) set within a fine-grained, hydrous matrix (~30 vol. %). Metal occurs either as blobs within chondrules or as rims around chondrules. It comes with COA card. Thanks for your interest and take care.

    Physical characteristics: Sample contains visible fusion crust. A slice taken of the sample reveals an assortment of chondrules and metal grains.
    Petrography: (D. Sheikh, Cascadia) This sample is composed of chondrules (Primarily porphyritic Type I, Av. 1.3 mm, up to 2.5 mm, ~70 vol. %) set within a fine-grained, hydrous matrix (~30 vol. %). Metal occurs either as blobs within chondrules or as rims around chondrules.
    Classification: Carbonaceous chondrite (CR2) based on texture, mineral compositions and low matrix analytical totals.
    Specimens: 20.03 g at NHMLAC; main mass with Shun-Chung Yang and Juan Chen.
