James Byron Dean (1931-1955) was an American actor and a cultural icon of his teenage disillusionment and social alienation. His most famous work, Rebel Without a Cause (1955), starred in the role of troubled teenager Jim Stark. This model uses red precious resin for the cap and body, named after the red leather jacket that Dean wore in his movie. The pattern was also inspired by the jeans he wore. The clip is in the form of a gun as a tribute to the famous scene of the 1956 work Giant. His famous word "Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die today" is on the cap ring. It is engraved.
