This fine pen is
not
a return or factory-second, nor is it defective in any way--it is exactly the same product you would receive directly from the manufacturer or any reputable retailer.  This is a new and genuine product.
*Notes:
1)  This is a sample/dummy pen.  Such pens were intended for evaluation and were not engraved with a limited edition number.  They are otherwise identical to the limited editions and fully functional.
2)  This new-old-stock pen comes packaged in a modern cream box.
3)  This pen does not have a clip serial number.  This is normal for the earlier Donation pens, and was not used for the Bach edition.
The Montblanc Donation Johann Sebastian Bach Ballpoint Pen honors the Baroque composer with a design that reflects his uniqueness and great skill.  It features a precious-resin cap and barrel in coral and sepia colors, accented by gold-coated details.  The clip is tastefully styled in the image of a treble clef.  A facsimile engraving of notes from Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 embellishes the cap band.  Bach's signature is engraved in black on the cap.  The iconic Montblanc white-star snowcap finial completes it.  Twist-mechanism.  Made in Germany.
