NWA 11182 Lunar 1.24g Feldspathic Breccia Slice of the Moon

Description

Item for auction is a 1.24g partial slice of NWA 11182 Lunar Feldspathic Breccia that was purchased by Ruben Garcia from Said Haddany in Tucson, 2017. The meteorite consists of a single stone, with no fusion crust. A saw cut reveals a fragmental breccia with numerous white feldspathic clasts and fine-grained lithic fragments, set in a dark-gray ground mass. Carl Agee at the UNM performed analysis of the stone and reports that the meteorite consists of primarily feldspathic clasts, microgabbro clasts, and shock melt, some containing vesicles. The Slices of this lunar are beautiful and come in a quality labeled display case along with a Big Kahuna Meteorites Certificate of Authenticity. Scale cube in photo is 1cm on each side, and not included in sale. Big Kahuna combines shipping, and addresses must be in the English language, to facilitate customs input at US Postal Service. Non-English addresses cannot be shipped, and may incur additional fees for handling. We no longer ship to China or Italy.
