    Description

    NORTH WEST AFRICA 13509
    LL4-6 TYPE
    BRECCIA CHONDRITE METEORITE
    10.5 GRAM END CUT
THE MATRIX IS FILLED WITH BRECCIA OF TYPE 6 LITHIC CLASTS THAT TRANSITION FROM DARK GREY TO LIGHT GREY TO LEATHER BROWN. THIS SPECIMEN IN PARTICULAR SHOWS MULTIPLE LITHOLOGIES MAKING CHONDRULES EASY TO IDENTIFY WHILE THE MATRIX IS HIGHLY RECRYSTALLIZED GIVING IT A BEAUTIFUL APPEARANCE.
THIS METEORITE HAS FRESH BLACK FUSION CRUST COVERED IN REGMAGLYPTS WITH SOME FAINT FLOW LINES AND CONTRACTION CRACKS!
IT HAS BEEN POLISHED ON ONE SIDE.
