partial slice of NWA 14685 Lunar fragmental breccia which was found in January 2020. Three identical stones were recovered whose cut surface reveals a fragmental breccia set in a dark-gray ground mass. Dr Carl Agee analyzed the specimen and reports that this meteorite is a clast-rich polymict breccia with lithic fragments embedded in a fine-grained moderately vesiculated groundmass. Fragmental clasts sizes range from <0.1-6 mm and are primarily basaltic. Kamacite, Cr-spinel, silica, troilite, and ilmenite are present. This meteorite is shocked with some impact melt textures present. This is a visually stunning example of a piece of the moon, as a fragmental breccia, highly shocked. This extraordinary meteorite comes in a quality labeled display box or membrane box, and comes with a temporary Certificate of Authenticity / Identification card until classification is official.
