8x10 inch professional copy archival print, excellent quality from a hi res scan directly (and tone matched) from an original black and white rare photo print from an out of print magazine and an old related ad.
each print was professionally printed, color matched to the original and produced on 110 weight, archival, matte ivory paper using only fade-resistant, archival, pigment-based inks.
born in australia in 1875, prof. walter maurice lyons was a very littke known itinerant tattooer who traveled widely tattooing in the early parts of the 1900s.  he ended settled for a bit in california where this photo was taken.  he ended up back in australia where he died in 1952.
