Description
Up for sale is a 110 gram tumbled Tsarev meteorite.The Tsarev meteorite fell in 1968 (recognized 1979) n
ear the Tsarev village, Volgograd district (USSR).
The Meteoritical Bulletin describes it as an olivine-hypersthene ordinary chondrite (L5).
This meteorite was tumbled to make it shiny on all sides.
Some metal blebs, chondrules and a very interesting inclusion (photograph 5) are all visible within the dark matrix.
Typically, you rarely see tumbled stone meteorites of this size and weight, with most all being much smaller. All photographs were taken outside in natural lighting.
A beautiful display specimen with much eye appeal.
