Description

This is a fantastic, etched, full slice of the Canyon Diablo meteorite. Canyon Diablo meteor formed Barringer crater, in Arizona about 48,000 years ago. The main mass was vaporized by the massive air pressure and heat as the meteor traveled through the atmosphere. The detonation sent thousands of meteorite pieces across miles of the Arizona Desert and created one of the largest impact craters on the planet. Also interesting, CD is a diamond rich meteorite, which creates beautiful black markings on the cut surface, it also makes this iron incredibly difficult to cut. This slice comes with  COA.
